New Fish Hobbyist/Cichlids - 2008/02/13 12:04 I am fairly new to this and after doing extensive research on the web and asking around, I finally set up a 55 gallon long Cichlid tank. I am running two Emperor 280's,one adjustable heater (200W), crushed coral, dolomite and some regular soft brown gravel, plenty of fake plants and plenty of rock/fake driftwood formations for hiding. I use just regular overhead lighting (flourescent) one on each side and two glass lids. Any suggestions or improvements, etc. would be appreciated. Also, what is the max amount I can safely put in the tank? Right now i have 8 of the (max= 4.5") ones, not sure all there names. I know I have two bumblebee's, two yellow with horizontal stripes, two bluish looking ones (which one is a little lighter than other) and two with reddish spots all over. Thanks. Jamie
