Please help me indentify this cichlid - 2010/01/27 16:08 I picked up this cichlid at a LPS, they did not know what specie it is. I really liked it, neat color, almost a lavendar with some light blue and it can reveal it's bars and stripes which are black, or hide them. It has blue fins with black and a yellowish orange on the very tips of the dorsal fin. I have him with my other mbuna cichlids and gets along with them very well. I can't seem to find what specie it is.

Re:Please help me indentify this cichlid - 2010/01/27 16:24 Sorry been trying to add the picture but had sizing problems. finally have it fixed here is the pic. In this pic it is hiding the bars and stripes, it has one big horizontal stripe and several vertical ones. I can't seem to get a good pic of him displaying the bars and stripes

Re:Please help me indentify this cichlid - 2010/02/19 21:53 i have been keeping ciclids of all kinds for about 10 years & from the the looks of this fish i say that this is an aratus ciclid that has been changed too many settings & he hasn't had a chance to adapt to his own territory
