Can anyone help? - 2009/09/01 18:44
Hey there i have a 3ft x 1ft x 1.5ft tank not sure how much water it holds. I have a breeding pair of convicts in there (approx 9-10cm and 8-9cm) also a very small male and female(approx 3cm) the larger ones have had one lot of fry, whom are about 1.5months old now(in a smaller tank as mother couldn't protect them and father ran off to be with other female whom we sold cause the other female would scare her out of anywhere she was trying to breed) i recently brought a kenyi cichlid(african) to go in there with them and he is doing fine, the person i got the convicts from had an electric yellow in his tank who was 3times the size of our biggest male, and he was very docile, would it be okay if i got a female for the new kenyi or would there not be enough room for 2 breeding pairs? I also was looking at some other species of africans somebody in my area is giving away but am not sure if they will go well in the tank with convicts, or if there is enough room. Species looking at: Pseudotropheus Acei, Yellow Tropheops, Brichardi (princess cichlid) and Tangerine Peacock
