my cichlids are not eating - 2008/02/24 02:36 i have very small tank so my ciclids mean a lot to me. right now they have stoped eating [img]

Re:my cichlids are not eating - 2008/02/26 15:02 I personally think you have too many in that small tank. Do you have enough hiding spaces? Also, how often do u clean the tank/gravel/? You mentioned temp problems-what exactly? Do they show any physical signs of sickness (white/red spots), sores, etc?

Re:my cichlids are not eating - 2008/02/26 16:35 tank is 15 long no sores that i can see seem to be gting along together temp problem was because i had no top got top tank is 80 now for 24 hr. some eating now not all the babys are eating

Re:my cichlids are not eating - 2008/02/26 17:45 Hi norine, i personally think you are feeding them to often. I feed mine only once a day. Maybe yours are just not hungry. Try feeding them twice a day as they are still small. I also miss one day a week and dont feed mine at all.

I followed the instructions on the food and all my fish started dying. what happens is that they poop so much the water levels get all messed up and it starts to kill them. I also think you have way too many fish in your tank because they get big and they need their space. I feed my fish like everyother day cua I've had my fish for years. Chichlids are hard fish to take care of and expensive. It'll take a while for you to learn.
