Support weight of stands - 2007/12/15 09:01 Hi,

I've just purchased a 38 gallon tank, and I'll be getting a stand next.
I think I've figured out that my tank + water will weigh about 315 lbs. Rocks, sand, fish and equipment will obviously boost that some more.
My local store has a 48x12 "Stingray" stand, but I can't for the life of me find out its support specifications!

Is it safe to say that a stand large enough to hold a 38 gallon tank is also sturdy enough to support said tank and its contents? if not, any suggestions?

Thanks,

kevin

Re:Support weight of stands - 2007/12/15 09:02 Yes, it's safe to say that it will support it, especially if you buy it specifically for that purpose, and from a pet store. That's what everyone else will be buying that stand for.
