oscar and red devil mating - 2007/10/15 21:41 We have a large male red devil and an even larger oscar in the tank. The red devil is defending eggs laid on a flat rock for the last few days. Can oscars and red devils mate? The red devil was the fish who built the nest so to speak and the oscar is just sitting on the floor of the tank not doing much. The eggs have not turned brown but the devil is defending them furiously from the other fish - 1 large catfish, 1 small catfish, two convicts and a couple of clown fish (all who keep their distance and hide). Should we let nature take its course or remove the eggs? Oscar is 10 inches long, red devil is 7 inches long. Thanks for any help you can give. Cheers, Debbie
