Can anyone identify this fish? - 2008/04/14 08:58
Can anyone tell identify this fih for me. I bought it from my lfs and the had been given few of them to sell on by a fishkeeper who was giving the hobby up. I wanted buy them all as there were only 50p each but my tank was only weeks old and as with every newbie to the hobby it was already overstocked(we all learn the hard way). I am currently keeping him in a tank with my smaller JD (stands his ground and takes no bullying) until I can find out what species he is. I originally thought it was an acara but the shape of the mouth I believes lends itself to be and african cichlid so if thats the case he probably isnt showing true colours as he is in a south american style set up and is not enjoying the quality of life I would like to give.
