Same lake or region? I've been mixing Tangs and Malawis for 8 years because of color variety. My favorites: Labs, Peacocks, demasonai, moori, zebras and maingano. I have tropheus (red saddles and duboisi) in another tank, but they are slightly more tedious to keep. Tips: crushed coral substrate, spirallina food, temp 78, Ph 8.2, any tall fake plant with full clusters, clay pots or pvc pipe with slate slabs and small sea shells to cover up are light weight decor. Africans are very hearty fish with very few health problems.
