Where did you get it? How was it listed?

Re:Does anybody know what kind of Cichlid this is??? - 2007/05/14 09:47 I bought it from a local pet store that sells a good number of rare cichlids and saltwater fish. I picked him up for $11.99 when he/she was only a couple centimeters long. It was listed as a Big-Lipped cichlid, but that's most definitely not the case!

He somewhat resembles a Bumblebee cichlid, but his/her coloring is completely different. He/she has a calm temperment and is not aggressive at all. He/she also has quite the personality and likes to swim in the bubbles (from my bubble-bar) for hours on end!

Also, he/she has bright white tips (only a very small amount) on his bottom two fins...

Re:Does anybody know what kind of Cichlid this is??? - 2007/05/16 16:31 I dunno what kind of fish it is, but it is bizarre looking. I can see where they get the big lips Cichlid from. Kinda gotta long jaw there.

Whats this bubble bar thing? Dose it look cool , with a wall of bubbles. I only am running a ten so something like that could look good and be good for the fish too.

Re:Does anybody know what kind of Cichlid this is??? - 2007/05/18 09:37 I'm not sure about that. The bumblebee cichlid is from Lake Malawi, and those photos really look like a cichlid from the Victorian Basin.

The problem with Victorian cichlids is that they can be really hard to differentiate
