I really don't see how it's possible - they're of two completely different genus.
And if the red devils are already breeding, why would they want to breed with another? Usually cross-breeding only occurs when there's no perfectly matched mate (same fish, opposite sex), but there's a fish of the opposite sex that is similar, as in the cases of different types of zebra cichlids.
