Jewel - 2008/02/22 07:52 i have two smaller ones (about 2.5") and I noticed today the bigger one turned a brighter red. I've read that means they are ready to breed, but how do I know for sure? the other is still the same medium bright red color they have always been. Any suggestions/advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Re:Jewel - 2008/02/22 09:10 I cant tell you for sure. My jewels breed very young and they go extremely red when breeding. The male turns a purplely color when they are not breeding. ive been told that because mine breed so young is why mine stayed small.
This is my pair not breeding..

This is breeding colors..
