Re:post your african cichlids - 2008/02/22 07:46 I personally would recommend two filters that have a boiwheel. This is just my opinion, but having just one is really not helping-it cannot keep up with the workload of the tank.

Mine is a 55 gallon, been set up for about a month or so now, and yes they are small. Just bought them all within a two week timeframe and all about 1.5-2" each. I rather this way so they can all grow up together, which I believe will help them later on.

As far as the Jewel, one of them just today, turned a brighter reddish color. Anyone know why? the other is still his/her same color. Thanks.
