you would think that the supplier of the fish to the fish store would know what kind of fish they where and tell the fish store.
My mum has a pair of yellow labs, very nice fish. Just be careful when you get a female as they are very similar in all ways to the males.
Are the demasoni in their own tank. Kept in a single species tank with only one male the aggression should be fine. The male will just boss the females around to mate.
