help with sexes ? - 2008/01/15 06:21
im having trouble figuring out the sexes ! all my fish act like males and have the female colors. my biggest red zebra has 7 eggs on anal fin with clear rings around them, but is all orange with white-ish belly areas. (hmmm?) and the smaller one has 2 little eggs and one med. egg on anal fin. (hmmm?
my arautus turned dark (not all the way black thoguh) and does NOT have any eggs on anal fin. and my blue johani is all light blue with dark blue/black fins, and two nice-sized larger eggs on anal fin. both act like males (dig/pick-up rocks/agressive/terrotorial ect. but ive only seen the johani shake/dance or w/e. sites are confusing me with info.
i also have 2 yellow lab that the sites say theyr're black bottom fins mean male.. but one has only one egg on anal fin and its faint, plus its pretty big which some say mean female. can the female have black bottom fins? im looking to have more females (or know the sexes) for my breeds.., can anyone help?
does the male do the shaking only ? or can the female shake also ?
